Exhibition Grants Award
The purpose of the Exhibition Grant Award is to support
and promote the arts by providing funding.
to artists and organizations to plan, curate, and present
exhibitions of visual arts, installations,
performances, and other art forms. The grants is provided by the Women’s Arts Institute Africa troughs
its Women Arts Museum Ghana project. The grants are intended to help artists and art organizations
expand their market reach, increase virtual space and utilize ICT effectively to make their creative
projects and ideas a reality.
The Exhibition Grants Award support various aspects of
organizing and presenting an exhibition,
including venue rental, media appearances, installation,
and marketing materials. The Grants
also encourage artists to create and share their work,
provide opportunities for the public to view
and interact with art, and foster cultural enrichment and
community engagement to make a
positive impact on society.
• Individual or group female artists working on any
subject of their choice.
• Individual or group male artist working on
issues that affect women.
• A mixed group of female and male artists working
on issues that affect women.
The grant amount ranges from US$2000 to US$5000. The amount awarded is determined by the size of the
work and the amount of work the grants team must do for the exhibition. In this case, the amount is assigned to
the grants team, and the activity is executed on behalf of the artist. This exhibition grant does not award cash.
For each activity, the amount quoted indicates the value of the work that has been completed.
